Charlotte Symphony celebrates Beethoven with bright and talented lineup of composers and musicians

Charlotte Symphony celebrates Ludwig van Beethoven's 250th birthday this year with a talented group of guest musicians and composers. Bringing back their popular movies in concert, family series, and the Symphony on Tap at NoDa Brewing, it's shaping up to be a big year for Charlotte Symphony. The skilled group of composers and musicians have all been inspired by the iconic Beethoven, and this season will showcase a wide-range of his compositions.

- KUSTER Moxie Part of the Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony program
- SMITH Field Guide Part of the Brahms Double Concerto
- Inon Barnatan is performing Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1
- Hans Graf, conductor, and Angelo Xiang Yu, violin, for Debussy Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun
- Ilyich Rivas is conducting Dvořák's New World Symphony
- Conrad Tao is performing Beethoven's Emperor
- Gabriela Martinez is performing Chopin Piano Concerto No. 1
- James R. Jones is performing Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony (he's a Charlotte native)
- JoAnn Falletta is conducting Beethoven's Pastoral
- Jeannette Sorrell is conducting Bach Brandenburg Concertos
- Simone Porter, violin, and Joshua Roman, cello, are performing Brahms Double Concerto
