For Educators
The Charlotte Symphony is your partner in the classroom. From professional musicians coaching your ensemble to live concert experiences, we offer programs designed to deepen your students' relationship with music — and make your job a little more inspired in the process.
One Musical Family
Bring your fifth graders to Belk Theater for a live CSO performance built just for them.
Instrumental Coachings
Over the course of the school year, CSO musicians visit high school band, orchestra, and piano classes to work directly with students and help them increase their overall musicianship through professional instruction.
Music & the Holocaust Lecture-Performances
Musicians from the CSO present a 45-minute themed, narrated program, performing music of significance from this period in history. Students will learn about Jewish culture and the horrors of the Holocaust.
Open Rehearsals
CSO invites student musicians in grades 6-12 to Open Rehearsals, where they watch the orchestra prepare for an upcoming concert and see how a piece is rehearsed and polished in a professional setting.
Prelude Ensemble Performances
These small ensembles blend exciting music with discussion of the repertoire and their instruments.
Invest in the Next Generation
You make it possible for students to receive their first instrument to advanced training — music education is at the heart of the Symphony's mission.
