Music & the Holocaust Lecture-Performances
Charlotte Symphony musicians bring a 45-minute narrated, live performance to your school that uses music to explore one of history's most important and difficult chapters.
Through repertoire from the era, students learn about Jewish culture, the Third Reich's suppression of art, the role of music in the concentration camps, and the perseverance of a community that refused to be silenced.
The program combines live performance with narration and projected images, making it well suited for history, social studies, and music classes at the middle and high school level.
