CSO Spotlight Artist Levi Taylor Connects with Charlotte
The Charlotte Symphony’s 2026–27 Spotlight Artist, composer Levi Taylor, recently joined the Orchestra for a memorable opening weekend of the Classical Series, featuring his work One Foot After The Other. But his visit extended beyond the Belk Theater, creating opportunities to connect with the next generation of musicians.
He also met with conducting students from UNC Charlotte during rehearsal, sharing insights into his composition and helping them better understand the work from a composer’s perspective.
Reflecting on his time in Charlotte, Taylor shared, “My heart is so full after a breathtaking, inspiring, and connecting weekend with the Charlotte Symphony and the beautiful people of Charlotte, N.C. It will never be lost on me the amazing connecting power of sharing music and our stories.”
Taylor will return to Charlotte in January for the World Premiere of his new work, Good Trouble, continuing a season of musical discovery and connection.
