Raehann Bryce-Davis

Raehann Bryce-Davis has been hailed by The New York Observer as “one of the best mezzo-sopranos of this generation.”
In the 2026–27 season, Bryce-Davis returns to Dutch National Opera for her role debut as Santuzza in Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana and to Houston Grand Opera as Amneris in Verdi’s Aida. She will sing Ulrica in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera at the Salzburg Festival and La zia principess in Puccini's Suor Angelica at the Royal Ballet and Opera, directed by Richard Jones and conducted by Speranza Scappucci. In concert, she will sing Verdi's Requiem with the Lubbock Symphony and Amarillo Symphony and Mahler's Kindertotenlieder with the Charlotte Symphony.
Concert highlights include the world premiere of Paul Moravec’s Sanctuary Road at Carnegie Hall, the recording of which won a Grammy nomination; Wagner's Das Rheingold with the Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Gustavo Dudamel; Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 at the BBC Proms with the Chineke Orchestra conducted by John Edusei; Verdi’s Requiem with conductor Kent Nagano and the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal at the Olympic Stadium; Verdi's Requiem with the Oratorio Society of New York at Carnegie Hall; Elgar’s Sea Pictures at the Musikverein in Vienna with the Tonkünstler Orchestra; the world premiere of Anthony Davis’s We Call the Roll with The Lied Society; Martinů’s Julietta with the American Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall; John Corigliano’s Of Rage and Remembrance at the Aspen Music Festival; Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 and Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine conducted by Kent Tritle; Mahler's Symphony No. 3 with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra; and the world premiere of A Nation of Others with the Oratorio Society of New York at Carnegie Hall. As a recording artist, she released her debut album, Evolution, via Lexicon Classics in April 2025.
Bryce-Davis is a recipient of the George London Award, winner of the Richard F. Gold Career Grant at the Merola Opera Program, and top prize-winner of the Hilde Zadek Competition in Vienna. She holds a Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Texas at Arlington.
