Celebrate the Holidays with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra
November 6, 2025 | Charlotte, NC – The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra (CSO) will celebrate the 2025 holiday season with six festive programs spanning Thanksgiving through Hanukkah and Christmas, including Home Alone in Concert, Handel’s Messiah, Holiday Pops: A Carolina Christmas, Festival of Lights, Majestic Brass & Organ, and the high-flying spectacle of Cirque de Noël. Many of these concerts have become cherished Charlotte traditions, bringing families together year after year to share in the magic of the season.
Home Alone in Concert
November 28 & 29 | Belk Theater
A true holiday favorite, this beloved comedy classic features renowned composer John Williams's charming and delightful score performed live by the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra as the entire feature-length film plays on the big screen. Macaulay Culkin stars as Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old boy who's accidentally left behind when his family leaves for Christmas vacation, and who must defend his home against two bungling thieves. Hilarious and heart-warming, Home Alone is holiday fun for the entire family.
Majestic Brass & Organ
November 30 | First United Methodist Church, Charlotte
Let the brilliant sounds of brass and organ lift your spirit this holiday season. The Charlotte Symphony's brass section joins forces with guest organist Evan Currie for a festive program of timeless carols and holiday favorites.
Handel’s Messiah
December 5–7 | Knight Theater
One of the most revered choral works in history, Handel's Messiah takes audiences on a journey of hope and redemption. From the exuberant "Hallelujah" Chorus to moving arias such as "I Know That My Redeemer Liveth," this timeless holiday annual tradition remains a must-see for everyone.
Holiday Pops: A Carolina Christmas
December 12–14 | Knight Theater
December 13 | One-hour family concert at the Knight Theater
Come home for the holidays in a merry celebration featuring North Carolina's rich musical heritage. Festive favorites like "The Twelve Days of Christmas" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" alongside traditional songs with sounds of bluegrass and blues will wrap you in the season's warmth and joy.
Festival of Lights: A Hanukkah Concert
December 18 | Knight Theater
Celebrate the joy of Hanukkah with an uplifting evening of music, light, and community. This festive concert brings together voices from Charlotte's Jewish communities for a heartwarming night filled with the spirit of the Festival of Lights — featuring cantors and a children's choir from local congregations, music from across the centuries, and a lively sing-along of favorite Hanukkah songs. It's a celebration for all ages!

Cirque de Noël
December 19-21 | Knight Theater
The magic of Cirque de Noël returns! Experience jaw-dropping feats as aerialists soar high above the orchestra, alongside awe-inspiring acrobatics set to your favorite holiday music. With thrilling new acts and beloved favorites, this annual event is sure to fill your family with the wonder and joy of the holiday season.

About the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra
The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is one of the premier music organizations in the Southeastern United States and the oldest continuously operating symphony orchestra in the Carolinas.
