General admission tickets are available for pre-purchase and at the gate starting at 5 pm on the day of the performance. Sonidos Latinos: Latin Sounds, A Juneteenth Celebration, & Music from the Movies: Adults: $15 in advance / $20 at the gate Youth (ages 13-18): $5 in advance / $7 at the gate Children: Free (ticket required) Celebrate America: Adults: $18 in advance / $25 at the gate Youth (ages 13-18): $5 in advance / $7 at the gate Children: Free (ticket required) |
What is the policy regarding inclement weather and ticket refunds? |
The Charlotte Symphony performs rain or shine and we cancel only in the case of severe weather. If the concert is cancelled due to severe weather, ticketholders will receive an email to move their tickets to a future Symphony concert. All sales are final; no refunds. Follow the Charlotte Symphony on Facebook or X (@CLTsymphony) for live weather updates from Symphony Park. |
What are the differences in the seating options? |
We are offering two seating options for the 2024 Summer Pops season: 1) General admission that is first-come, first-served seating in the general admission area of the lawn. 2) Premium subscription seating in pods, which are reserved lawn spaces with a central view of the stage. Reserved spaces are only available in a subscription for all four concerts. ADA-accessible seating is available in both general admission and premium seating pods. |
Are prices the same on the day of the show? |
Prices increase at the gate. Get early bird pricing by buying today! General admission tickets are available for purchase until sold out. Credit/debit and cash will be accepted. |
Do I need a ticket for my child? |
Yes, children 12 and under attend Summer Pops concerts for free in general admission seating, but still require a ticket. |
What if I bought tickets and can no longer attend? |
All Summer Pops ticket sales are final. Tickets are not eligible for exchange or refund. |
Can I purchase tickets at the gate/day of show? |
Yes, until tickets are sold out! General admission tickets will be available for purchase at the gate until capacity is reached. |
Can I get in for free once ticket sales end? |
No, all patrons must have a ticket. |

What time do gates open? |
Gates will open at 5 pm on the date of the performance. |
Can I bring food and beverage into the park? |
Yes, food and beverage (including beer and wine) and glass containers are permitted. Liquor is not permitted. Please note: Sharp kitchen knives will NOT be allowed in the park. |
Are pets permitted in the park? |
No. For the safety and comfort of others, pets are not permitted at the concerts. Only service animals are allowed. |
How long are the concerts? |
Summer Pops concerts, including the pre-concert prelude act, are typically just under 2.5 hours. The pre-concert prelude acts begin at 7 pm and Charlotte Symphony performances begin at 8:15 pm. |
Where can I park? |
Parking is available in the SouthPark Mall parking lots. Those with mobility concerns may park in the Mall-designated handicapped parking spaces with a handicapped sticker/tag on the vehicle. We recommend arriving early, as there are a limited number of handicapped parking spaces. There is a drop-off area close to the entrance gate. |
Will I be able to reserve a seat or place a blanket in the park earlier in the day? |
No, gates open for general admission at 5 pm. With our Summer Pops subscription, you can reserve your space on the lawn for all 4 concerts! |
What should I bring? |
We recommend bringing either a picnic blanket or lawn chair. Many patrons bring food and drinks to enjoy for the evening. In the vicinity: SouthPark Mall and Reid's Fine Foods close at 7 pm on Sundays. Food trucks will also be available in the parking lot starting at 5 pm. We also find that sunscreen and bug spray are helpful to pack in your bag. |
Are umbrellas allowed? Tents? |
Umbrellas are allowed. However, once the program begins, all shade umbrellas will need to be taken down so as not to obstruct the view of other patrons. No tents are allowed. |
Can I bring a grill to the concert? |
No, grills are not permitted on the grounds. |
Can I bring fireworks? |
No. Fireworks, sparklers, or other flammable devices are not allowed at the park. All weapons are prohibited. |
Are there public restrooms? |
Yes, portable restroom facilities will be available in the upper parking lot. |
Are accessible seating areas available? |
Yes, ADA accessible seating areas are available on the grounds. Any special seating needs should be communicated to CSO Patron Services in advance of the performance. If you have questions, please call 704-972-2000 Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to speak with a Patron Services representative. |
What do I do if I need assistance getting on the grounds? |
Those with mobility concerns may park in Mall designated handicapped parking spaces with a handicapped sticker/tag on the vehicle. Plan to arrive very early, as there are a limited number of handicapped parking spaces. There is a drop-off area close to the main ticket tent and entrance gates. |

Is smoking/vaping permitted in the park? |
No. Smoking and vaping are only permitted outside of the fence surrounding the park. |
What if I lose something or leave something behind at the park? |
