What is the policy regarding inclement weather and ticket refunds? |
The Charlotte Symphony performs rain or shine and we cancel only in the case of severe weather. If the concert is cancelled due to severe weather, ticketholders will be issued a rain voucher good for a future Symphony concert. All sales are final; no refunds. What are the differences in the seating options? |
Lawn seating is general admission on the grass. Premium Seating Club provides you a chair in a reserved tented area, as well as VIP parking. |
Are prices the same day of show? |
Prices increase by $2 day of show. |
Do I need a ticket for my child? |
Yes. While children 12 and under are admitted free on the lawn, they require a ticket/wristband for entry. |
What do I do if I purchase my tickets in advance? |
Individual concert tickets can be purchased online until noon on the day of the concert you wish to attend. Tickets purchased more than 10 days in advance will be mailed. Tickets purchased within 10 days of the concert will be held at the Will Call table for pick up the night of the concert. Ticket packages purchased after June 12 will be held at the Will Call table at the main ticket tent for pick up at your first concert. Should you forget your series ticket, go to any ticket tent to have your ticket reissued. |
What if I bought tickets and can no longer attend? |
Individual tickets are non-exchangeable. |
Can I purchase tickets at the gate/day of show? |
Yes, tickets will be sold at several park entrances beginning at 4 p.m. on the day of the concert. Purchasing online in advance is recommended, for convenience, to avoid lines and to save $2 per ticket. |
How late are the ticket sales tents open? |
Tickets will be sold until 9 p.m. |
Can I get in for free once ticket sales end? |
No. All patrons must have a ticket. |

What time do the gates open? |
Gates open at 5 p.m. on days that we are performing. |
Can I bring food and beverage into the park? |
Yes, food and beverage (including beer and wine) are permitted. Glass containers are also allowed. |
Are pets permitted in the park? |
No. For the safety and comfort of others, pets are not permitted at the concerts. Only service animals are allowed. |
How long are the concerts? |
Summer Pops concerts are typically just under two hours, with no intermission. Pre-concert Prelude acts begin at 7 p.m. |
Where can I park? |
Parking is available in the Southpark Mall parking lots. Those with mobility concerns may park in the Mall designated handicapped parking spaces with a handicapped sticker/tag on the vehicle. We recommend arriving early, as there are a limited number of handicapped parking spaces. There is a drop-off area close to the main ticket tent and entrance gates. |
Will I be able to reserve a seat or place a blanket in the park earlier in the day? |
Patrons may only enter Symphony Park and select a location on the lawn beginning at 5 p.m. on the day of the concert. |
What should I bring? |
If you purchase lawn seating, we recommend bringing either a picnic blanket or a low-back lawn chair. Many patrons bring food and drinks to enjoy for the evening. A limited number of snack items are sold on-site. In the vacinity: Southpark Mall and Reid's Fine Foods close at 7 p.m. on Sundays. |
What type of lawn chairs are allowed? |
We recommend blankets or low-back chairs. Please be considerate of other patrons' sight lines as we cannot enforce in-park seating. We will ask those with high-back chairs to please sit around the perimeter of the park in consideration of other patrons. |
Are umbrellas allowed? Tents? |
Umbrellas are allowed. However, once the program begins, all shade umbrellas will need to be taken down as not to obstruct the view of other patrons. No tents are allowed. |
Can I bring a grill to the concert? |
No, grills are not permitted on the grounds. |
Can I bring fireworks? |
No. Fireworks, sparklers, or other flammable devices are not allowed at the park. |
Are there public restrooms? |
Yes, portable restroom facilities will be available in the upper parking lot. |
Are accessible seating areas available? |
Yes, accessible seating areas are available on the grounds.If you have questions, please call 704-972-2000 Monday through Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to speak with a Patron Services representative. |
What do I do if I need assistance getting on the grounds? |
