Prelude Ensembles
Bring the CSO into your school with a Prelude Ensemble performance! These are special ensemble presentations performed by CSO musicians. Prelude Ensembles support the North Carolina Essential Standards for Music Education and can serve as either an introduction to the instruments of the orchestra for younger students or as an opportunity for middle and high school musicians to interact with professional musicians. Performances are about creating dialogues between students and musicians through an interactive 45-60 minute program which can be customized to appeal to students in grades K-12.Costs may be covered through ASC funds for member schools.
Equipment needed:
- 1-5 straight-backed, armless chairs (depending on the size of the ensemble)
- 1-5 music stands (preferred but not required)
