Charlotte Symphony announces Summer Pops schedule

The Charlotte Symphony kicks off its annual outdoor Summer Pops series at Symphony Park at SouthPark Mall on Sunday, June 5.

Conductor Albert-George Schram will lead the orchestra (and audience) through all five family-friendly programs:

• Sunday, June 5 Summer Pops: Opening Night!
• Sunday, June 12 Symphony Swings
• Sunday, June 19 A Night for "Pops": The Music of John Williams
• Sunday, June 26 Oh, the Places You'll Go!
• Friday, July 1 Celebrate America (with fireworks)

Symphony Park is located at SouthPark Mall, 4400 Sharon Road. Gates open at 5 p.m., prelude performances begin at 7 p.m., and the Charlotte Symphony performs at 8:15 p.m.

Tickets for the June concerts are $12; July 1 tickets are $16; Summer Passes for all five programs are $49 (all prices are inclusive of applicable NC state taxes). Children under 18 are free.
