One Musical Family

One Musical Family introduces students to the various musical families that make up the Charlotte Symphony. This includes the professionals both onstage and off who work together to create CSO performances, as well as the broader family of composers, genres, and cultures that comprise our musical world. Born from CMS's E3 program, short for Exposure, Experience, and Education, One Musical Family allows young people to see a show in person and broaden their learning experience.

The Charlotte Symphony is excited to once again partner with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools to deliver this program to its 5th grade students for multiple performances in March. In addition to the open program, the CSO performs the One Musical Family concert to all current 5th graders in CMS on a yearly basis. We believe investing in the musical education of our local youth to be of the highest importance, and are pleased to provide these performances to our CMS community.
