Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf is a musical story based on the classic Russian folk tale. It tells of a young boy's adventures with his grandfather and animal friends. This timeless favorite introduces children to the instruments of the orchestra, as they depict different characters in the story.

Christopher James Lees, conductor

Children will delight in these one-hour family-friendly concerts designed to engage all the senses. Please note: For your health and safety, as well as our staff, volunteers, and musicians, there will not be a pre-concert festival for this performance.

Family Series concerts are designed for children 4-9 years of age (but enjoyable for all!). Babes in arms (less than 2 years of age) may sit with their parents, and are admitted free of charge.
