How to Use This Guide

This guide is designed as a curriculum enhancement resource for music teachers, classroom teachers, and students who will be attending a Charlotte Symphony education event. The main intent is to aid teachers in their own lesson plan preparation, so most of the language and information is geared towards the teacher, not the student. It is not expected that all the information given will be used. Since the concerts are open to students of middle through high school ages, it would be impossible to create materials that are applicable for all. Teachers can choose the elements that best meet the specific needs of their individual classrooms. Our hope is that the information will be useful, spark ideas, and make connections.
