Nicco Mazziotto

Nicco Mazziotto is an avid chamber and orchestral musician who has completed his undergraduate studies at SUNY Purchase and graduate studies at the Manhattan School of Music. He has been studying cello since the age of fourteen and his primary teachers have been Joseph Kimura, Julia Lichten, and David Geber. 

Aside from his studies in school, he has participated in many summer festivals including the Tanglewood Music Center, Taos School of Music, Music Academy of the West, and Heifetz Institute's Ashkenasi Kirshbaum Chamber Music Seminar. At Music Academy of the West, he collaborated with artists Martin Beaver, David Geber, and Karen Dreyfus in a performance of Schubert's Cello Quintet. Mazziotto has also performed as principal of multiple orchestras including Tanglewood Music Center's Orchestra, Music Academy's Festival Orchestra, and New York Youth Symphony. 

Outside of music, Nicco enjoys playing chess, watching movies, keeping up with the NBA, and staying active each day.
