Jesdelson Vasquez
On Stage
Jesdelson Vasquez joined the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra as Acting Second Trumpet in the fall of 2025. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, he began playing the trumpet at age twelve. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Ethan Bensdorf, and completed his master’s degree at Rice University under the guidance of Barbara Butler.
He has performed as a guest musician with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Louisville Orchestra, and the New World Symphony. He has also been a fellow at several summer festivals, including the Tanglewood Music Center, Music Academy of the West, and the Aspen Music Festival and School.
Outside of performing, Vasquez enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, and spending time with his cat, Mia -- who definitely runs the household.
