Four-time Tony Award-winner Audra McDonald has become a box-office sensation not only in Broadway theaters, but also in concert halls and opera houses across the country. Equally acclaimed as an actress and singer, McDonald won her first Tony for Carousel in 1994 and has since gathered numerous awards and accolades for shows such as Ragtime, Master Class, A Raisin in the Sun, and most recently, 110 in the Shade. In addition, she has performed concerts with major American orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Chicago Symphony, the Boston Symphony, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the San Francisco Symphony, has released four solo albums, and now stars in the ABC television series, Private Practice.

The Music of Led Zeppelin

Rock n' roll meets classical music as the Charlotte Symphony performs the music of Led Zeppelin, featuring a recreation of the original super group. Feel the power, as searing electric guitar meets the soaring, dynamic energy of the Orchestra in hit after classic Zeppelin hit.

Delight in dozens of Zep favorites, including "Stairway to Heaven," "Black Dog," "Kashmir," "Rock and Roll," and more. 

A brilliant light show completes the experience as the audience becomes immersed in the music of Led Zeppelin.

Composed in 1741, there is not a major city in the Western World that does not enjoy Messiah at least once a year. Messiah stands alone as a majestic testament to man’s highest artistic and spiritual aspirations. Join the Oratorio Singers, Scott Allen Jarrett, and a cast of brilliant soloists for Charlotte’s only annual full-length performance of Messiah performed in the Belk’s glorious acoustics.
