A deaf, grumpy, and disheveled old man has moved in above young Christoph’s apartment.  He stomps around the floor and bangs on the piano, much to Christoph’s dismay. But that ornery old noise-maker turns out to be Ludwig van Beethoven.

As Christoph describes Beethoven’s antics in letters to his uncle, he slowly comes to understand the genius of the composer and the beauty of his music.

Recommended for children ages 4 and up.
