from the little white stick that guy is waving or the shiny
metal things people are blowing? Seemore and the gang will

The beloved
Prokofiev classic becomes an exciting theatrical experience
in this unique production. Movement replaces narration, and

Beethoven
Lives Upstairs
with Classical Kids
Sat Apr 5 • 11:00 am Blumenthal Performing Arts Center - Belk Theater
Alan Yamamoto,
Conducting
A deaf, grumpy, and disheveled old man has moved in above
young Christoph’s apartment. He stomps around the
floor and bangs on the piano, much to Christoph’s dismay.
But that ornery old noise-maker turns out to be Ludwig van
Beethoven.
As Christoph describes Beethoven’s antics in
letters to his uncle, he slowly comes to understand the
genius of the composer and the beauty of his music.
Recommended for children ages 4 and up. |
