Celebrate Oktoberfest with the Charlotte Symphony and masterworks by German composers Mozart, Wagner, Bach and Schubert plus a pre-concert Festival and free beer sampling.

January 24, 2014 – A Little Knight Music

Step back in time to Mozart’s era as the Symphony performs three works by the master plus Haydn’s dramatic “Farewell” Symphony No. 45.  Stay after the concert to play some music of your own with unique instruments provided by Discovery Place.

March 28, 2014 – Ansel Adams: America

Oratorio Singers of Charlotte

More than 100 of Ansel Adams most powerful landscape images will be projected above the orchestra as it performs Dave and Chris Brubeck’s “Ansel Adams in America” plus works by Aaron Copland and Duke Ellington. Part of Ulysses Festival 2014.

May 9, 2014 – Carnivale!

North Carolina Dance Theatre School of Dance

Saint-Saens “Carnival of the Animals” and an excerpt from Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” feature in this festive and vibrant program also including music by Dvorak, Prokofiev and Mahler. After the concert, the carnival continues outdoors with a street festival on Levine Avenue for the Arts.
