ABOUT THIS EVENT
Shimmering. Sultry. Revolutionary.
- The story meets the score in this program featuring Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade and Strauss' Don Juan.
- The classic tales of 1001 Arabian Nights come to life in Rimsky-Korsakov's orchestral showpiece Scheherazade, as told by literature's most seductive storyteller.
- Strauss' tone poem, inspired by the womanizing pursuits of the scoundrel Don Juan, is a blistering flourish of music, included on most orchestral auditions.
