Joyful. Colorful. Expressive.

  • Evoking his love of living in nature, Beethoven's "Pastoral" brings life to rolling thunder and the calling of a shepherd's pipes - a depiction you may recall from Disney's Fantasia.
  • Concertmaster Calin Ovidiu Lupanu performs Beethoven's Romances, No. 1 & No. 2

Christopher Warren-Green, conductor
Calin Ovidiu Lupanu, violin

*BEETHOVEN Romance No. 1 & No. 2
BEETHOVEN Symphony No. 6, "Pastoral"

*Please note: In order to protect musicians on stage with proper social distancing, the repertoire for this program has changed.

Single tickets will go on sale at a later date. Our top priority is, and has been, the health and safety of our audience, musicians, guest artists, and staff, and we will continue to follow local, state, and national recommendations with regard to the COVID-19 situation. We're also working closely with Blumenthal Performing Arts and Queens University to ensure a safe environment where everyone feels comfortable and able to enjoy the performances.

The concerts this weekend are dedicated to the memory of longtime symphony supporter Dr. Chandler Thompson.
