Felicia Konczal Sink

On Stage

Felicia Sink has been a full-time member of the double bass section since 1997. She began her musical studies at age eight on the violin and as a sophomore in high school began pursuing the double bass. Felicia received her Bachelor of Music in performance from James Madison University and her Master of Music in performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. While at Peabody, she studied under Philadelphia Orchestra double bassists Harold Robinson (principal) and John Hood. She was a scholarship recipient for the National Orchestral Institute, the Grand Teton Orchestral Seminar, and the Interlochen Arts Camp. She has also performed with the Baltimore Opera, Virginia, West Virginia, and Western Maryland Symphonies. An advocate for music education, Felicia serves as a coach for the Charlotte Symphony Junior Youth Orchestra program, the CSO Department of Education and Outreach, and through her studio for private instruction. Running, cycling, and reading are among Felicia’s favorite pastimes. Above all, she loves spending time with husband Keith, and their retired racing greyhound and rescue cat. She is a volunteer with Greyhound Friends of NC and Therapy Dogs Incorporated.
