Lollipops family concerts bring children and adults together to experience the thrill of a live orchestra. Enchanting storytellers, comic clowns, and graceful dancers join the Charlotte Symphony musicians to create a magical musical world for young listeners. You won't want to miss this wondrous series!

4 Saturday mornings at 11 am in the Belk Theater of the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center

Pre-concert festivals  begin at 10 am and put the musical experience right into kids' hands, with crafts, activities, and instrument exploration with the Symphony Guild's Musical Petting Zoo.

Not only is this Emperor big and pink, he just happens to be a pig! The Hans Christian Andersen story takes on a whole new dimension, transformed into an animal fable. Even the audience takes part!

Dancers from the North Carolina Dance Theatre School of Dance strut, prance, pounce, and glide in Saint-Saëns’s musical menagerie, Carnival of the Animals. Hens and roosters, tortoises and kangaroos, and the elegant swan all come to graceful and boisterous life in the Lollipops season finale.
