	The Emperor’s New Clothes Saturday, October 2, 2010 With Grey Seal Puppets Jacomo Rafael Bairos, conductor What’s big and pink and loves to wear fancy clothes? Give up? It’s the Emperor himself in Grey Seal Puppets’ clever adaptation of The Emperor’s New Clothes. Not only is this Emperor big and pink, he just happens to be a pig! The Hans Christian Andersen story takes on a whole new dimension, transformed into an animal fable. Even the audience takes part!
	Thrills and Chills Saturday, October 30, 2010 With Alasdair Malloy Christopher Warren-Green, conductor Add some musical mystery to your Halloween weekend! From Michael Jackson’s Thriller and a specially narrated version of Danse Macabre, to a trip on the ghostly Flying Dutchman, this spine-tingling selection of sensational music will leave you giddy with goose bumps. Come in costume!
	Green Eggs and Ham Saturday, March 26, 2011 Michael Boudewyns, narrator Kimberly Schroeder, soprano Jacomo Rafael Bairos, conductor “Sam I Am” comes to the Symphony in a skillfully staged and delightfully designed musical adaptation of Dr. Seuss’s classic. With music by Robert Kapilow, Green Eggs and Ham celebrates rhyme and reason and introduces young people to the beauty and versatility of the human voice and the wonders of the orchestra.
	Carnival of the Animals Saturday, April 30, 2011 North Carolina Dance Theatre School of Dance Jacomo Rafael Bairos, conductor Dancers from the North Carolina Dance Theatre School of Dance strut, prance, pounce, and glide in Saint-Saëns’s musical menagerie, Carnival of the Animals. Hens and roosters, tortoises and kangaroos, and the elegant swan all come to graceful and boisterous life in the Lollipops season finale.
